Salines Mayette

We headed out to the Far West today. It was a bumpy but very entertaining three hour ride out there. We stopped at Beauchamp to check out the campus and see all the changes that have happened.

The orphanage in Salines Mayette is always a joy. The kids are so awesome and such a great reminder. We spent some time playing soccer and face painting with the kids. Some of us girls started to play ring a round the rosie, which ultimately turned into this silly dancing game that I was not good at. It was great to have fun and laugh despite language barrier. It was those little things that really made them happy. I got to spend time with Brenda, one of the girls that grew up at the St. Louis baby orphanage, and it was so cool to see how she had grown and matured into this precious girl.

The mission has grown tremendously in the past year. St. Louis is now 4 stories, has a new Bible college, aquaponics, and is continuing to expand. The old Bible college is now the cholera clinic-- the move happening right as the new Bible college opened to make that possible.
