Haitian church

We went to church today and it lasted about 3 hours. I have no clue what they were saying or singing but I knew that they loved Jesus. They were singing Great is thy faithfulness and that's all I understood. It was Haitian Mother's day so the kids sang a song and handed out flowers to all the moms.

After church, we sailed over to Tortuga. It was really peaceful and relaxing. We got to hang out with the kids and the island is really poor because the only way to get there is by boat. Meghan, I saw blanc bebe. Her real name is something to the effect of Mackensa.

The interpretors were playing at a concert at the local night club so we all went to support them. We were the only blancs, go figure. One girl sang Martina McBride's "That's who I am" and the Haitians all knew the words and were going crazy.

We awake this morning about 5:20 am (6:20 EST) to an earthquake. Scared the snot out of all of us. It was not related to the Port au Prince ones. It only happened here in St. Louis but it was fairly strong. No damage was done but the Haitians were running and screaming. One of the nurses came running out of her house without clothes. St. Louis is on a fault line so they believe we are going to get them because of the Port au Prince one.
