Vbs/sports camp

The past few days have been full of singing, laughter, and sports. The group ha eighty kids that came for four days straight. It was cool to see the relationships formed throughout that time. The theme was the armor of God. Today was the final day. It was field day for the kids so there were several different relays. Last night, the group showed despicable me. The steps on Jody's house were pretty full. Everyone was fixed on the screen. A fifteen year old boy told me he loved the movie. Morgan and I have gotten to spend time with a young woman. She doesn't hold her head up often and didn't use to acknowledge us. We got to spend time with her and bandage her wounds. People don't really respect her and belittle her. We invited her to the movie knowing her situation. But at the end of the movie, we saw her sitting there, fixed on the screen. She said thank you and then introduced me to the woman she lives with. I thought us talking to her might have gotten her in trouble, but the woman thanked us for keeping the girl's cuts from infecting.
