Hit the ground running

The group wasted no time getting started today. We had a Bible study with the mom's in the nutrition program and they made necklaces that had hearts, which reflected the story that they had told. The rest of us entertained the kids while they were doing their study. I got to spend some time with the babies in the orphanage who are total goof balls and so much fun.

After lunch, we headed out to the local jail. We got there and there was 5 prisoners, 4 boys and 1 girl. The girl hid from us and when we put the food right inside the cell, she threw it back at us. She had just found out she would be headed to Port de Paix tomorrow morning. We tried to encourage her, letting her know that Melonnie would be there every week to see them and pray with them. We traveled down to the brothel next. Those women really are such beautiful people. It isn't a job they love or want to do, but if you have to feed your family, you do what you have to. We did a short study on their worth and beauty in Christ. We gave them tracks and just encouraged them. Walking between everything, I got to spend some time with my boys. I have missed them so much. It was so great to hang out. They are the silliest bunch of kids ever.

I'm headed out to Beauchamp and the Far West for the next few days so you won't be hearing from me until Monday. We are scheduled to host a wedding and feast, a revival, and purchase 35 pairs of goats to give to families in different church communities. We've got big plans so pray that everyone will be flexible and open to the changes that God has in store. Pray for safe travels as it has been raining and we have to cross the river.

Mom-- John said he has this whole script of everything he would tell you when you come to Haiti, he also asked for a picture so he could pray everyday for you to come to Haiti
