Jesus:1 Satan:0

Today, we went to visit the local brothel and just spent time talking with the women. We got to know them so they wouldn't be uncomfortable if we led teams down there. They told us about their families and what we could pray for.

We went to the market and did the grocery ministries. We filled two bags. Each intern had prepared a short testimony to share. The first lady knew Jesus and was a strong Christian, we just encouraged her and prayed that she would bless others since we blessed her. The next lady said she went to church but was not a believer. She said it was because she was waiting on her family. We shared that you can't wait and you have to be strong for your family. The last house we stopped at had three men sitting there. We talked for like an hour about cultural barriers and explaining that God doesn't expect you to dress a certain way or he doesn't care about your outward appearance but your heart. We gave them each a Bible and a book by John Piper. One of the men accepted Christ right there and the other two said they wanted to read and better understand what it really meant. Regardless, they were open and willing and wanted to k,now.

Some of us girls went to help with the translators english class. They teach it every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. People from the community can participate. I helped teach the vocab class which was so fun. The Haitians were so excited to learn and wanted to know as much as possible. My group wanted me to teach them sentences and everything I knew. They also wanted to know every detail of my life-- all be shocked that I wasn't married.
