Tortuga

Yesterday we went to Tortuga. We unfortunately didn't sail the luxury liner, so we were praying pretty hard. Once we arrived, the VBS was awesome. The kids were listening so intently. At the end, we went outside and played games with the kids. I started playing duck, duck, goose with the little ones and the girls. Eventually it grew into a large game so we moved onto red light, green light. There is a girl who is mute and deaf but is the sweetest girl ever. She is so gentle and always smiling despite the way the others treat her. The little girls started teaching us this dancing game. They thought it was hilarious to watch us do these dances when our bodies definitely can't move like that. They were cracking up and having too much fun laughing at us. After about two hours, we had to leave. All the times I've been there, the kids have never pleaded with us to stay, but that day, they did. Despite the serious motion sickness, the group even wanted to go back another day if possible. Today, we traveled to La Forge - the waterfall town. The group did a VBS there. As the groups were rotating stations, I noticed all the bracelet bandits were there. They ran so fast from the mission and beat us to the church there. When we finished, we walked to the waterfall. One the way there, this little girl ran up to me, called my name, and took off running. About five minutes later, her brother came sprinting up to me. He has become a dear friend of mine just because we walk by his house to get to the waterfall.
