Relaxation

Today, Melonnie had planned a surprise for us interns. We knew that we would be going to La Baie to see Curtis and Danielle's new campus. After we toured that, we drove to a private beach there. Meghan, you know that dirt path that went up the mountain along the beach, yup that's to the beach. It was the most gorgeous beach ever. She also packed us a picnic lunch. We got to eat apples, cheese, pineapple, crackers, Capri Suns (none of which we ever eat--she had to go to a special market to get them). It was so delicious! We hung out on the beach and swam---I love water where I can see what creatures are floating around me. We rode back to St. Louis.

Tonight, Melonnie took us interns and some of the interpretors out this really nice restaurant. It was to celebrate surviving the first group. We had to order chicken or goat the day before because well, our meat was fresh to say the least. It was amazing. We all had a good time. They were blaring music so we all sang and danced. They played some BSB (Backstreet Boys), which us and the Haitians all loved. It was such a fun time. We have a small group coming in tomorrow and then a massive group coming on Tuesday.
